Our application process helps us to place our Cobberdogs in loving homes where we know they will be safe and able to live a healthy, happy life.
We are only a small breeder and therefore will only have a limited number of puppies available with each litter.
We now hold waitlists for each planned litter and open these up approximately 6-9 months in advance of a litter’s expected arrival time.
We periodically update the Available Puppies page with new litters and any vacancies on currently planned litters. This information is subject to change at short notice however, and current availability is detailed via email, after receipt of an application form.
Due to high demand and only a small number of puppies available we recommend expressing an interest in a preferred litter early so as to ensure you do not miss out.
If you would like to be considered for an upcoming litter when they are available, please fill in our application questionnaire and expect a reply via email. Please check your junk if you don’t hear back.
Our puppy selection process is very different to that of breeders where you may be able to choose your puppy from a young age. We do not allocate puppies until they have been health checked by a veterinarian and we have conducted all relevant health testing. Once puppies have been cleared at their first vet appointment, we will make contact with suitable applicants with any puppies we feel are appropriate – usually when puppies are around the 7 week mark.
The allocation process is one that is considered and takes significant time. We are simultaneously allocating puppies to families, breeders and sometimes organisations and there are many factors we take into account during this process. We carry out genetic testing prior to allocations whilst also observing puppies from a young age for their temperament and activity levels.
This allows us to make informed decisions on allocations and will work with you in this process to ensure your new puppy is the best fit for you and your family.
Your puppy will come home at approximately 9-10 weeks of age with all veterinary records, any relevant health testing documents along with a comprehensive puppy guide.
We are able to assist with transport for puppies all over Australia.
All puppies come with a comprehensive health care schedule which has included all preventative care whilst with us including regular worming, age appropriate vaccinations, a microchip and any other
relevant veterinary care required.
Our purchase price reflects the very high level of care provided to your puppy and exceptional pedigree and quality of our breeding dogs.
We do not cut corners and the price reflects the costs associated with registering and comprehensively health testing each puppy, the intensive and unwavering care we provide to each mother and their puppies during their first 9 weeks of life, the veterinary and preventative care afforded to each puppy, as well as the ongoing care of all of our breeding dogs from the premium diet we feed them through to the life we provide them with.
We have selected and sourced only the best breeding dogs available and thus endeavour to produce only exceptional puppies as a result. We offer a lifetime of support and will assist you should you have any questions or concerns.
Occasionally we will breed a puppy that is truly exceptional for the breed and will consider placing that puppy in a guardian home not too far from where we live. Cobberdogs love human attention and thrive on love and connection. A guardian home ensures a loving family for one of our dogs whilst still remaining as part of our breeding program for a short period of time.
If you are interested in becoming a guardian home, please select this option in our application form and we can provide you with further information.
